2-step Content creation for artists!
If youâve ever saved a post on Instagram for content ideas and proceeded to never go back to it⊠youâre not alone! But over the years, Iâve learnt that it really doesnât have to be complicated - a few simple tricks can help you stay consistent without zapping your creative energy. In this blog, Iâm sharing some of my favourite low-effort content creation tips that actually work (no fancy tools required).
1. Keep a running list of ideas
In your âRemindersâ app on your phone (or Google Keep if youâre a Google person), keep a list of reel/carousel ideas so you always have some ready to go. No rules, no structure - just a âscribbled on a napkinâ style list that only makes sense to you. Mine is now hundreds-of-ideas deep.
But the point of this is, that whenever you feel stuck, youâve got a bank of ideas ready to use. I do save posts on Instagram, but honestly⊠I rarely (read: never) go back to them. The notes app? Much easier to access on the fly.
2. Show up (with your face!)
Itâs the number one objection I hear when it comes to social media from almost all students in my course. (I know because itâs one of the challenges I set and the uptake could be better!) But showing your audience thereâs a human behind your brand makes it SO much easier for them to connect with you.
Remember: People buy from people. But Iâm sure you already knew this.
So I don't care if it's a Story, a Carousel, a Reel⊠if it's for 3 seconds or 30 (lean on the longer side though).
Do an Introduction post: âHi, I'm X and I'm an artist from X who does Xâ.
DO IT DO IT DO IT. And then tag me so I can cheer you on!
I promise once you do it ONCE, it gets easier and easier.
